Corinth Hardware Website Design

Project Overview

When a 100-year-old staple closed down in Corinth, MS, best friends Clayton Stanley and Les Archie, Corinth locals, decided over a campfire to open up a brand new hardware store to fill the gap that Biggers Hardware had left. They both have childhood memories of going to Biggers. It wasn't just a store. It was a community. And that's what they want to recreate with Corinth.

My role:

  • Lead web designer

  • Photographer

The Challenge

They need people to know they exist. Along with designing a company logo for them, they also needed a website that gave their community an idea of what to expect. Even with their website the two friends wanted a site that felt casual and inviting. "We want people to know when they come here they're going to be called by name," said Les, the store owner. Additionally, they want Corinth Hardware to be the go-to supplier for small business contractors and plumbers.

The Solution

I designed and developed a mobile friendly Squarespace website that catered to the local community, local electricians and plumbers. The website needed to be easy enough for the two gentlemen to update on their own, featuring a combination of their store photography and supplier brand photography. I also served as a communicator between brands like Traeger and Benjamin Moore to get access to their brand libraries for images for this site.
